2020-21 Call for Content
History will describe 2020 as a year wrought with systemic racism, public health disparities, and police brutality. Yet while African Americans experienced disproportionate health and economic disruption, Black community leaders and activists led a diverse coalition of millions of Americans to the streets to protest systemic injustices. The 2020-21 volume will take a deep dive into the present and future policies affecting the lives of African Americans. We will evaluate how Black activists, policymakers, and leaders have maintained democratic momentum during COVID-19, police brutality, and systemic racism.
HJAAP invites contributions related to systemic racism, COVID-19, and police brutality. We accept op-eds, research articles, interviews, book reviews, syllabi, art, and more. All questions, comments, and concerns can be directed to hjaap@hks.harvard.edu
We are accepting submissions until February 5th, 2021. For more information please visit our submissions page.
